This is a website, always in motion, which shows everything there is to do and visit on islands around the world.
First in Mauritius and the island of Rodrigues, then in Ibiza and Reunion, but other islands are under development.
Arriving in Mauritius in 2017, we couldn't find THE website that clearly brought together everything there was to see and visit on our new host island. Many websites exist but are lame-designed and purely business-oriented and therefore do not mention places to visit where they do not have their own interests. So we decided to create the ideal website that we couldn't find.
Each place indicated is geolocated. The site has evolved considerably over the past four years. And given the growing natural referencing, and therefore the number of visitors to the site, very quickly we added other islands such as the island of Rodrigues, Ibiza or Reunion. A friend living in Bodrum (a peninsula in Turkey) also participated in the publication of content for his region.
Little by little, with the technical and creative collaboration of Stéphane, we started to develop an effective website with simple and relatively intuitive navigation in order to gather all the things to see and do in Mauritius in order to share them with our friends who came to visit us in Mauritius.
The work of implementing content (places, photos and texts) is absolutely enormous and has been done little by little over several months/years.
The very effective visit.today website now having more than a thousand active pages, it is beginning to be very well referenced.
On average :
• 2,500 unique visitors each month in 2019
• 4,500 unique visitors per month in 2020
• 7,000 unique visitors per month in 2021
• 11,000 unique visitors per month in 2022
There is still a lot of work to do as this project is only evolving.
